Membership (for voluntary and community sector organisations)
If your organisation would like to join the Open Forum there is a membership form on the contacts page.
Friends and partners mailing list
We also offer a mailing service that goes out to our mailing list of over 1000 people.
Information Service
- A free monthly update sent to all members and people on the mailing list
- Information and assistance advice service
- We provide a varied range of Briefing sheets
Training
The Open Forum runs a programme of training courses and surgery sessions mostly focused on accessing European funding but also training to encourage creative project planning and development, future plans include possible accreditation for our training programme. Advocates
A voice for the sector on the main boards, committees and task groups where the sector having a voice matters. Advocate vacancies are advertised in our monthly updates. For more information on the advocate programme contact our Lead Resources Worker.
Strategic Economic Zones (SEZ)

The Ladder
The Open Forum owns and manages The Ladder, we provide quality accessible office space and a meeting room for hire. Contact our Business Manager.

The strategic work of the Open Forum includes…
- European funding – Objective 1 and post 2006 arrangements
- Learning and Skills strategy for the sector – sector access to formula funding, workforce development and widening access
- Maximising the sector contribution towards regional economic strategy through Yorkshire Forward
- Plus Connexions and work with the South Yorkshire Forum partnership
