Welcome to the South Yorkshire Open Forum website
South Yorkshire Open Forum has recieved funding from Yorkshire Forward and the Objective 1 Programme to provide an ambassadorial and strategic service to support the voluntary and community sector in South Yorkshire.
The focus of the programme will be to:
- Develop an advocate programme that enables VCS representation on decision making boards.
- Instigate a high profile marketing plan for the sector to enable the realisation of our key strengths and contribution to the sub-region.
- Develop co-ordinated and responsive policy briefings, consultations and engagement with the sector on key issues.
- Promote a research programme developed in partnership across the sub-region to identify gaps in intelligence.
- Provide a sub-regional single point of contact for statutory partners wishing to consult with the VCS providing opoortunities to influence policy
